A really nice book this, it's just a pity that it didn't come out in time to help me on my monumental trek across Crete during May/June 2003, which I am currently writing up for Interkriti; it would have been extremely useful.
The book is divided up into two parts: walks and gorges - the longest of which is four hours - with some lovely pictures at the rear and line drawings throughout. Very different from the Landscape guide to Eastern Crete, so if you are into walking this could either be taken along as an alternative or an addition, as the two books very rarely cover the same areas. Get your map out and discover the diverse places "Circular Walks and Gorges in East Crete" covers.
