LATIN Dictionaries
Oxford Latin Dictionary (ed. by Glare ). A big price for a big dictionary, this is the most thorough available in the English language (Latin to English). This is THE Oxford Latin dictionary, though the Lewis and Short (below) is large enough to be compared with the Greek Liddell and Scott Lexicon and is the choice of most students that can afford a large desk dictionary.

Lewis and Short Latin Dictionary An excellent dictionary, which seems good value in comparison to Glare but is not as thorough (Latin to English).

Cassells Latin Dictionary ed. by Simpson. A Good solid hardback two-way dictionary (Latin to English and English to Latin). In my view the best two-way dictionary on the market

Elementary Latin Dictionary ed. Lewis Hardback abridgement of the Lewis and Short (Latin to English).

Chambers Murray Latin English Dictionary by Smith and Lockwood A good-sized paperback and along with Lewis' Elementary Latin Dictionary (below) the most popular (Latin to English).

Collins Latin Dictionary Plus Grammar. This is a really useful, two-way, dictionary for the beginner with a very handy grammar at the back (Latin to English and English to Latin).
